I simply want to make my own educated prediction: Clinton will be the Democratic nominee, with Bill Richardson for VP (he's Hispanic and is from the southwest, and also served in Bill's cabinet -- i.e., already a Clintonista). Obama is simply too charismatic to stand in her shadow; he is now prepped to be her successor, or Secretary of State, perhaps, but not her running mate.
Although it hardly matters, the Republican nominees will be McCain for president, with Fred Thompson as VP running mate. Romney, likewise, can't stand in McCain's shadow, and they seem to truly dislike one another. Huckabee is cursed by his name, and is too hard to categorize. Thompson is, well, a really nice guy and hard to dislike.
Due to the abilities and wonders of the far-reaching Clinton Machine, our next president, for better or worse, will be Hillary Clinton, and she will appoint PA governor Ed Rendell as Attorney General, and hubby Bill to the Supreme Court, despite his being disbarred in Arkansas (details, details...).
Now, venturing farther out on my limb, Rick Santorum will run against Catherine Baker Knoll for PA governor in 2010 and will win it hands down, as well as garner reelection in 2014. He will be the Republican nominee for president in 2016, after we've grown very tired of 8 years of Hillary Chavez... er, Clinton. He will be succeeded as PA gov by former gov Mark Schweiker. All of these latter predictions are, of course, dependent on whether or not there will still be a US of A that needs a president. So, it'll be Santorum vs Obama in 2016... Now, as for 2012, I have no clue as to which poor sod will be thrown against Hill and pummeled; perhaps Romney will get his shot then.
My words are, as they say, marked this day, February 1, 2008 AD.
