Think about this: The Dems need an alternative to Clinton and Obama. Both have obvious negatives. Edwards? He should have been stronger by now if he is the one to go to, given his status since 2004, as the VP candidate. All three candidates have a problem with independent voters, the swing vote, warming up to them. All three have been given abundant free press, and none has taken charge of the process, or the voters' hearts, given the exposure.
Then we have Richardson. He is the one. This man has the experience that Obama lacks, and the ideas to win. Example: the Environment as a (if not THE top issue) Resaon: The Error of the Obvious: GLobal Warming is NOT the top environmental issue of 2008, or the next decade!! It is actually a side issue, with ENERGY INDEPENDENCE being ahead in importance. In other words, Richardson knows and says that the primary issue to face in ending the war in Iraq is the continued supply of Oil, and this is why others want to stay in, but the way out is through both state and federal TAX INCENTIVES to invest in Solar and Other alternative means of getting energy.
Obama says what Edwards has been saying, showing that the Big O has little in the way of original answers, or real answers of his own. "Be Different" plays to the Diversity school, but offers no tangible substance to grasp. Edwards and Clinton both treat the War in Iraq as a separate issue from the Environmental Crisis, while only Richardson approaches both with realistic and tangible plans because Richardson stands alone in taking the strong position that the answer to Peak Oil, Iraq bloodshed and the Environment Issue can and must be solved right here in the States. Restless armies do not end wars. Diplomacy does.
