Fred Thompson is just an actor. That is all he will ever be. He has waited this long to finally start joining debates to prepare his politics and steal some good ideas. Just an actor though.

Just an actor? You're either silly or forgetful. He's an attorney and a 2 term U.S. Senator. He also helped confirm Chief Justice Roberts.

Plus, Thompson is the only big "C" Conservative running. Duncan Hunter notwithstanding. He's right on immigration and everything else he's published a policy on. http://www.fred08.com/virtual/Immigration.aspx

The other Republicans need to steal ideas from him, not the other way around. The "just an actor" line is just laughable.

Sonny Bono, Clint Eastwood, Ronald Reagan and Fred Thompson all have one thing in common: they were / are all in the entertainment business and all four succesfully transitioned over to public service quite well in their respective positions at various levels of the government.

The fact that any of the men mentioned above had or currently have acting talents to draw upon for public speaking engagements, including debates, etc. can only be an asset, especially when having to deal with representatives from various countries all over the world.

Fred is a good, honest, decent and hard-working man who deserves a chance to lead this country away from the deterioration of it's moral fiber by the wacko liberal left kooks.

He's the only candidate who successfully represents and adheres to the conservative coalition 'three-legged'stool' (social, economic and military) principals. Listen to everyone (media and public) as they discuss the OTHER candidates - they ALWAYS mention a 'BUT' - and it's ALWAYS regarding one of these three critical legs. They are all lacking - except Fred. We cannot select or elect a candidate who is lacking.

I'm for America – therefore, I'm for Fred Thompson.

Yep, he's the only reasonable choice left for Republicans. It's easy to eliminate the rest of them, even though it doesn't look like the voters are. People are losing site of the constitution and are all playing politics. God help us all, especially if either of the Democrats win.

Fred Thompson threw in the towel today. No great surprise really. He was never really into campaigning and since he hasn't won or gotten close on any of the primaries, there is no sense in continuing. His biggest hope was South Carolina where he was expected to do well, but didn't. He just isn't really that flamboyant which is what is required these days to win the primaries. Well, at least there is always Law and Order reruns.
